Advicetap Blog

Advicetap exists to give consultants a dedicated space to talk shop, share ideas, connect with other consultants and promote their skills. We want your experience here to be the best possible. And we’re working hard everyday to make that happen.

Here’s what we’ll do to make Advicetap a valuable part of your day, and how you can help keep it that way.

We hate SPAM and won’t tolerate it in any form. Any member sending what Advicetap deems, at our sole discretion, to be excessive use of messaging, that disturbs other members, by sending SPAM, Junk Mail or by promoting their product or service through conversations, profiles or through member to member messages may be removed, and have their account permanently terminated. That’s right, this is a community for professionals, we don’t mess around.

We ask that you use your real first and last name at all times. The only exception to this is if you use a different name on a day-to-day basis to do business. Your name is used in your public profile, personal URL and much more. Members want to connect with other members, choosing not to display your real name can turn people off, plus you won’t get the full benefits when showcasing your skills. Accounts containing names that Advicetap deems to be unacceptable may be asked to change to their real name or have their account terminated.

Use of this service to do anything that may be against the law or that harms Advicetap, any of our members, partners, providers or suppliers is unacceptable. Violations of this may lead to the termination of your account along with any and all content associated with it.

Advicetap will examine registration and user activity for any action that we feel is damaging to our community and its members. Any action deemed to be in breach of these terms may result in the removal of that members profile. While we may notify you before we eliminate your posts, profile or any other content we deem to be harmful or inappropriate, doing so is at our sole discretion.

Any false or inaccurate information used to create your account or once the account is created for any purpose may result in your account being removed from the system permanently. This includes posting or using material that is not your original in any form or manner on your profile or in conversations or other areas of the site.

Nudity or sexually explicit content is not allowed on the Advicetap site. If during conversations or messaging, for the purpose of discussing a related business issue, post a link to a site that may contain such content, you must do so by first labelling the link as such. However, you understand that Advicetap may remove any such links if we feel their use is not marked clearly enough or if their existence on the site is bad for the community. Taking such action will be at our sole discretion.

While we encourage you to promote your consulting business and services through your profile and point non-members to it, the promotion of unauthorized advertising or of products and services that are not directly connected to you are restricted. Promotion of affiliate links, contests, junk mail, MLM and pyramid schemes and any SPAM violates our terms of use and these guidelines and will result in the termination of your account.

Any one person is prohibited from registering more than one free account. Doing so may result in all such person’s accounts being terminated. Advicetap does this to ensure that its members can actively participate in a trustworthy and quality community with other professionals.

It is prohibited to use software or any such tools to search Advicetap for data of any kind. Members caught doing so will be removed from the site and may face legal action against them.

We may update these guidelines from time to time at our discretion, so be sure to check back.

If you are in disagreement with any of these guidelines or the terms of use, Advicetap probably isn’t the right place for you. In that case, we’d ask you to step away from this website. However, we think these guidelines are pretty straightforward and common-sense when trying to create a professional community. So go on, sign up today and start enjoying Advicetap!
