We respect your privacy. Your information will never be rented or sold to anyone outside of Advicetap. We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications of information that we feel you may find useful.

We hate SPAM as much as anyone and will safeguard your email and other personal information. Note that other members may contact you through the messaging system. Notify us immediately if you are receiving excessive emails from any member and we will look into the matter right away.

As part of the Consultants Directory, non-members will also be able to contact you if they are looking to hire a consultant. We use technology that limits the risk of you receiving unwanted and illegitimate messages of this kind.

Your information is required to build your profile so that you can showcase your skills to the consulting world and potential clients. The information you use to build your account will never reveal direct information that others can use to contact you. If you wish to provide someone that contacts you with your information you will have that option. Our goal is to ensure that you have a safe, valuable and enjoyable experience on the site.

Some of the information that you use to register (such as your name, consulting category(s), company, etc) will automatically be used to generate your public profile. Once registered you may edit this information, however it must be accurate. You will also have the chance to add additional information to complete your professional profile.

Your full birthday, email and physical address and other such details will never be made public to anyone, whether member or non-member. We collect this information to help us better understand our market and so that we can continue improving Advicetap for you.

If you wish any information not to be displayed publicly it is your responsibility to not publish it or remove it. If you have a problem doing so please notify us through the contact page.

For Companies: Once you post a project on Advicetap your contact information (all that is submitted) is generally kept confidential. However, Advicetap may share this information with its members if deemed necessary by Advicetap. No fear, we respect your privacy.

For Consultants and Freelancers: When you submit an application for a project (gig) your information (as included on your Advicetap profile) will be sent to the company that posted the project. Advicetap is not responsible in any shape, manner, or form for how your information is used after that point. To be clear on this, know that any information on your profile is potentially visible by the public and Advicetap can not be held liable for how that information is used by any other party, website, search spider or other collector of information.

Advicetap may send you emails from time to time that are relevant to your account. You may always change your notification settings, or may unsubscribe from receiving messages. However, as we may send special promotions, reports and other valuable information for consultants like yourself, we suggest you stay in the loop. We respect your privacy and value your time.
